Heidi Montag's Bridesmaids' Gowns Found!

Heidi_spencer_wedding_580

Thanks to their symbiotic relationship with the paparazzi, by now you (and the rest of the world) have all seen detailed photos of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt’s weekend wedding. I know what you’re thinking, and yes, they have tied the knot for real this time – no reality TV coach was on hand as far as we’ve heard.

I kid! You know, as much as I find myself scrutinizing this couple, I'll admit the wedding party was well-styled and the décor was absolutely lovely. As I was perusing the photos in US Weekly this morning I immediately recognized the dresses Montag chose for her bridesmaids as being from BCBG.

I should confess that in addition to blogging for the Wedding Channel I have a sales/styling gig at a BCBGMAXAZRIA boutique here in New York City, so I am very familiar with this dress. It struck me as interesting (but great!) that after going for a couture wedding gown for herself, Montag chose a very accessible brand to dress her bridal party in, and a style I’m sure they’ll want to wear again this summer.

You can find this exact gown at a BCBGMAXAZRIA boutique near you, or online at bcbg.com. (Hurry, because when the news gets out they’ll sell out super quick!) The gown retails at $398.00 and is also available in Orchid -- a rich purple hue.

Sexy Slips for Your Bridesmaids

You know, I'd like to think Katherine Heigl's character in 27 Dresses might have enjoyed her stint as a bridesmaid a little bit more if she had the opportunity to take one of those dresses and actually burn it upgrade the look from "bridesmaid blech" to "A-list attendant." Sure, you're often limited when it comes to implementing your own personal style, but that doesn't mean you can’t leave your mark when it comes down to the little details.

That’s why I'm currently stalking Your Slip is Showing, a cool company that creates splashy, Breakfast at Tiffany's-inspired slips that peek out from under the hem of your dress. The feathered ones are pure glam, while the ruffled and lace ones scream cocktail party chic. I think this is a great alternative to spending hundreds of dollars on a bridesmaid dress you’ll never wear again, when you can simply pull your favorite LBD out of the closet, slip into this, and make a splash while walking down the alter.

Priced at $150-$350, these slips aren't cheap, but they sure are flexible when it comes to mixing up your wardrobe for your next black-tie affair.
