Miami Heat Star Chris Bosh Married!
They're calling it the "royal wedding of Miami." Chris Bosh, who stands 6'10" married his petite bride Adrienne Williams, who is just 5 feet tall, at the Fontainbleau in Miami, reports People.com.
The lavish affair -- which reportedly cost about $300,000 and lasted three days -- took place over the weekend. The bride wore a strapless Oscar de la Renta gown that was accented with a belt and a Chantilly Lace veil with crystal accents on silk tulle. For her "something blue"? A $10,000 custom-created pair of Louboutin heels with the bottoms painted blue.
Said one guest, "Every detail ... down to infusing different scents into every stage of production from invitations to areas where the wedding festivities took place. There were eight essential oils and natural ingredients created for the couple and their guests. It was totally awesome." The awesomeness doesn't end there: seating cards for the wedding were suspended by silk organza ribbons from crystal chandeliers and orchids strung about the reception room along with thousands of dollars worth of custom scented candles. the party actually kicked off on Friday night, as guests were treated to a casino-themed party inspired by 1950s Cuba.
Guests got a chance to snap photos in a photo booth, and the night concluded with a muti-tiered wedding cake and elaborate fireworks display.
This is actually the couple's second wedding (which seems to be a growing trend). They tied the knot quietly in April, because of Bosh's tough NBA schedule, and put off the more lavish party until now. Celeb guests included Serena Williams, actress Gabrielle Union, "Burn Notice" star Gabrielle Anwar, and fellow Heat teammsates Dwayne Wade and LeBron James. During the weekend, a Sweetheart Pool was even constructed close to the ocean so that guests could stay cool.
And to top off the weekend, Bosh gave his new bride a Cartier necklace and she gave him an Aston Martin, an insider says. Top. That.
