Jason Wu to Design for Net-a-Porter

JasonWuBridal_500

You read that right -- the same designer who made that stunning white gown for the Obama inauguration will soon be releasing a line of wedding gowns for Net-a-Porter.

And from the looks of the sketches (above), they're going to be gorgeous. The designer spoke with WWD yesterday, saying, "I wanted to create an exclusive bridal collection for Net-a-porter that is both youthful and injected with elements of American sportswear, which I favor for my collections. The capsule collection includes wonderful options for a bride, but also has a relaxed attitude with pieces that can be worn to other occasions."

A wedding gown that you might be able to wear again? I like the sound of that! But the best part of all has got to be the price tag. Gowns are expected to retail on the luxury fashion website for $795 to $4,000. Net-a-Porter's wedding shop will launch in January, with Jason Wu's premiere collection.
