Kate and William's Guest List Details,
Plus a Royal Tiara

Beckham_Prince_200

The wedding isn't until April, but it looks like Kate Middleton and Prince William have already decided on a couple of A-listers to invite. Among them? Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney and David and Victoria Beckham, reports the UK's Mirror.

A Royal insider told the tabloid that the Beckham's were among the first to congratulate the happy couple when they announced their engagement. "David texted Wills as soon as he heard, and Wills told him an invite was on its way. David and Victoria were both thrilled and can’t wait," the insider said. Prince William reportedly struck up a friendship with the international soccer celeb when the two teamed up to lead the bid for England's chance to host the 2018 World Cup.

And while the dress is still up in the air, insiders are now saying that Kate Middleton will be offered Princess Diana's priceless pearl and diamond tiara to wear on her wedding day (photo below). Called the Cambridge Lover's Knot Tiara, the crown was originally made for Queen Mary in 1913, and was passed down to Diana from the Queen, reports the Mirror. Since Diana's death in 1997, the crown has been kept safe at Buckingham Palace.

The Daily Mail also reports that Earl Spencer, Prince William's uncle, has been asked to speak at the royal reception. Known for his serial womanizing and repeat divorces, the announcement has no doubt raised a few eyebrows throughout Buckingham. While some say that Prince William is just determined to keep his mother's spirit alive, others say it's in poor taste, and recall the Earl's scathing speech during Diana's funeral, where he all but accused the royal family of abandoning his sister. We say, it wouldn't be a royal wedding without a little bit of family drama, right?

'Weather Wars' Star Jason London Engaged

JasonLondon_250

The SyFy network star is officially off the market. Jason London, who is perhaps best known for his role as Randall 'Pink' Floyd in the film, "Dazed and Confused," popped the question to his longtime girlfriend Sofia Karstens, reports E! Online.

The 38-year-old "Weather Wars" star dated Sofia for two years prior to proposing. The two plan to wed on July 16, 2011 in Vermont, Jason tells E!, adding "I love waking up next to my best friend every morning."

Sofia echoed her new fiance's words, saying "I feel so lucky to have such an amazing man in my life." Jason used an heirloom ring from Sofia's family to propose -- how romantic!

QVC Debuts Princess Diana Knockoff Ring

KateRingKnockoff_580

The knockoffs have arrived! If you love Kate Middleton's stunning 18-carat sapphire engagement ring but can't quite get over the royal price tag, you're in luck. The frenzy surrounding the engagement has already led QVC to design a cost-friendly knockoff for just $39.54, reports WWD.

The lookalike ring on QVC, which won't be shipping until 12/20, was designed by Kenneth Jay Lane. But it doesn't end there. Lookalike rings have also popped up on Amazon.com (for about $60) and on websites like Emitations.com (also about $60). Perhaps not surprisingly, most of the websites are currently sold out.

Kate's sapphire ring, which was originally used for Princess Diana's engagement in 1981, cost about $45,000 at the time, but is estimated at $110,000 today with inflation adjustments. What do you think? Would you want a sapphire engagement ring like Kate's?

Anna Kournikova and Enrique Iglesias Married?

Anna_Enrique_250

Could it be, after 8 years of dating and a lengthy engagement that tennis star Anna Kournikova has finally tied the knot with Enrique?

Recent photos of the longtime couple reveal Anna wearing what looks to be a diamond wedding band, in addition to the (giant) engagement ring she has always had. The ring was first spotted last month when the couple stepped out, though Anna has since appeared not wearing the ring. On Monday night, Enrique and Anna were spotted leaving the Beverly Hills hotspot, Madeo, and Anna had both rings firmly in place, reports the UK's Daily Mail.

The two have both spoken out before saying they're not interested in marriage -- though they're not against marriage as a whole. Enrique has said, "Oh no. I don't think it's the right thing to do.A lot of people think that I'm against marriage, but you can be happy with someone without being married."

Could the singer have changed his mind? Was there a secret wedding ceremony? Or is this some type of anniversary ring?

Kate and William Set a Date

Katewilliam_250

Ending a week of speculation, the royal family announced Tuesday that Prince William and Kate Middleton will be married on April 29, 2011 -- a Friday! The ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey, which can hold up to 2,200 people. The announcement came from St. James's Place, the same location of the official engagement announcement.

Despite the size of the 1,000-year-old-abbey Prince William's personal secretary, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, says there's still a sense of intimacy. "Even at the altar, it seems like a parish church," he said.

The announcement also put an official end to the other rumors about taxpayers footing the bill for the wedding. In fact, Prince Charles will be paying for the semi-state affair, which researchers say could bring a $1 billion boost to Britain's faltering economy, reports MSNBC. As for the actual cost of the wedding? The Today Show puts it at whopping $40 million, adding that Kate's dress alone could cost $200,000. And though they won't pay for the actual wedding, taxpayers will be paying the estimated $20 million in security.

On the fashion front, Kate hasn't announced a wedding dress designer yet, but Vogue.co.uk reports that Amanda Wakeley is the current favorite (And we're totally in love with her designs).

Now that the date has been set -- it's time to start the real planning. What do you think the rest of Kate and William's wedding will look like? The flowers, the cake, the attendants' attire -- and what will the Queen wear? Weigh in below!

Dream Wedding Bride: The Drinks

Nuvo_580

Not only did guests dine on some of the finest cuisine from The Catered Affair, but the Us Weekly and WeddingChannel.com dream wedding guests also sipped and toasted with some incredible cocktails. Guests had signature cocktails mixed with Nuvo Sparkling Liquer, which is a blend of French vodka and sparkling white wine with an infusion of passion fruit nectar (above left photo). But the special drinks didn't end there. Guests also toasted the newlyweds with Banfi's Rosa Regale, an Italian rose sparkling wine. Both of the drinks added to the overall glamorous (and pink!) wedding, Pamela and Joshua wanted.

Heidi and Spencer Renew Their Vows

Heidi_spencer_250

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, the reality TV stars everyone loves to bash, have renewed their vows.

Weeks after confessing that their summer divorce proceedings were faked as a publicity stunt, and days after Spencer called their Hills wedding a "contrived nightmare" the couple said this felt like their "first real" wedding. (In case you are keeping count, it's actually their third: they eloped while in Mexico and married quite publicly on The Hills).

Wearing a strapless sheath gown, with her hair down, a relatively natural looking Heidi renewed her vows with Spencer at a beachfront ceremony in Carpenteria, California, reports Radar Online.

As Heidi explained to Entertainment Tonight, "We had just gone through so much crazy stuff personally and through our jobs... so for me this feels like our first real marriage. Like our first re-start. We deserve a second chance at our marriage and really having this moment and not being robbed of this."

Spencer added that this time around was "just me and my bride on a little secret beach with nobody else, and it's just about her." Well, not just for his bride, considering that the photos have been splashed on a number of websites and Entertainment Tonight, but they're getting closer.

Despite their fame, the couple insists that they are not living lavishly, saying that at least $4 million has gone to lawyers, publicists and agents who have helped keep them in the spotlight. Spiedi also said that for the first time, they really feel they can be themselves without having to play for the cameras. What do you think of Heidi and Spencer's third wedding and vow renewal? Prince William Engaged to Kate Middleton

Kate_Williams_580

They've kept the world waiting long enough and now the day has finally arrived: Prince William has announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend, Kate Middleton.

The couple, appearing for their first interview together, talked with reporters today about their plans for a spring or summer wedding in 2011, their thoughts about starting a family, and Princess Diana's gorgeous engagement ring, which William gave to Kate.

William supposedly popped the question last month, while the two were on a vacation in Kenya. A delighted Kate, who will now be known as Catherine, appeared before cameras today wearing a deep V-necked dress and of course, the late Princess Diana's stunning 18-carat sapphire engagement ring, reports the NY Daily News. William told reporters that it was, "My way to make sure my mother did not miss out on today and the excitement that we are going to spend the rest of our lives together."

And now the question on everyone's mind: Who will Kate pick for her wedding dress designer? Here's our take: Knowing that Kate has always been a bit more fashion-forward than the so-called "Shy Di" was in her early days, we think the dress might be both a more toned down and more trendy. Some experts in Britain say the dress will be high-necked; traditional, but with a modern twist."I can't see it will be covered in Swarovski crystals. I think it will be hand embroidered and I think with lace," Peta Hunt of You & Your Wedding magazine tells the Daily Mail. She also suggested that Kate might pick a fishtail dress, rather than a full on ball gown, to show off her curves a bit more.

We're sure to hear plenty more about this wedding as more details are planned, but what do you think of the engagement announcement? And what about Kate's gorgeous engagement ring? Weigh in below!
