The 2010 Emmy's Recap: Bridal Goes Red Carpet

Just in case you missed it last night, the Emmy's were pretty amazing -- and we're not just talking about the shows that won or Jimmy Fallon's performance as host. There was some serious red carpet style and, let's be honest, it was a lot better this year overall than it has been in years past. Lots of stars took to the red carpet wearing sleek, sophisticated styles in a variety of colors and with lots of new necklines (aka - not strapless).

Plenty of celebs donned gowns from designers who also have amazing bridal collections. Here, we've matched up a bridal gown for each celeb from the same designer they wore last night. What do you think of our picks? Weigh in below!

Heidi_Marchesa

Heidi Klum (of "Project Runway") wears Marchesa.

Dianna Agron (of "Glee") wears Carolina Herrera.

Kyra_Monique_580

Kyra Sedgwick (who won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in "The Closer) wears Monique Lhuillier.

Wedding Bells for Snooki?

Jeff_Snooks_250

Could there be wedding bells ahead for "Jersey Shore" star Snooki? That's what RadarOnline.com claims.

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, the 4-foot-9-inch tanned and self-proclaimed "guidette" will reportedly face a marriage proposal on the cover of "Steppin' Out" magazine. The "Will You Marry Me?" headline comes from her current beau, Jeff Miranda, even though their relationship is just about two weeks old.

But that doesn't seem to be bothering Jeff, who tells the magainze, "I want us to be together forever. I could see us having children. I want to pop the question to her. If we got married we would be the best parents around. She's so loving and puts everyone else before her self. She'll be a great mother."

The reality star lover goes on to say, "I will never break her heart. She's such a great girl. If people could see us together they would think we're a match made in heaven."

No comment yet from the "Jersey Shore" star, but there are already rumors that the couple is headed for splitsville after Jeff was spotted at a strip club in NYC. Hmm. We're not too sure what to make of this story, let's just hope the two stay together until the magazine hits newsstands on Sept. 10.

The 2010 Emmy's - Make It Work

EmmysLooks4_580

So we're already hearing about some of the fashion "don'ts" for the evening. Despite wearing Versace Atelier, January Jones in her bright blue gown (above) seems to be getting bad reviews already. From the bed-head hairstyle, to the pointy cups on her chest, it's a look that just doesn't seem quite right. Similarly, newlywed Anna Paquin has already started getting matador comments for her Alexander McQueen gown (sorry Anna!).

But here's the good news. There's something about these gowns that is pretty chic and daring, and that's why we can make them work so well in these other styles, by Badgley Mischka (left) and Ines di Santo (right). We just love how they work in white. What do you think? Would you rock a short gown on your wedding day?

The 2010 Emmy's - Drop Waist and Embellishments

EmmysLooks3_580

Another trend noticed tonight on the red carpet was the 'fit-and-flare' style of gown, seen above, worn by the lovely Lea Michele of "Glee" (who turned 24 today!) and Eva Longoria Parker (love the touch of color in her earrings). The drop-waist style along with plenty of fabric embellishments at the bottom really creates a high drama, almost avant-gaarde look. What do you think of our red carpet to aisle style?

The 2010 Emmy's - One-Shoulder and Sleek

EmmysLooks2_580

There were lots of one-shouldered, sleek gowns on the red carpet tonight. And actually, that's perfectly in sync with what we've seen recently at fashion week.

From left, there's Eva La Rue, from "CSI: Miami" (and "All My Children" back in the day for my fellow soap opera fans), Emmanuelle Chriqui, from "Entourage," Julie Benz, from "Dexter," and our picks for similar bridal looks: from Jenny Yoo and Alvina Valenta bridesmaids.

What do you think of these slim, one-shouldered looks? Would you sport this trendy neckline for your own wedding day?

The 2010 Emmy's - Red Carpet to the Aisle Style

EmmysLooks1_580

We'll be here, blogging and tweeting about the Emmy's all night. Let's jump right to it -- check out these gorgeous gowns.

At the left, Kim Kardashian looks stunning as always in this white gown, by Marchesa (she also wore white to last year's Emmy's). And to the right, Amber Riley of "Glee" also looks amazing in this white gown (still searching for the designer). What's great about both of these is the high-neck halter look, with just a touch of beaded embellishments. It's perfect for the bride who wants a little bling, without going over the top and wants something other than a strapless gown.

We found two bridal looks that translate pretty easily from these -- the first by Nicole Miller (on the left) and the second by Jenny Packham (far right). What do you think, would you rock a high-neck halter on your wedding day?

Emmy's just kicked off! And newlywed Jane Lynch won an award for Glee -- woo!

Dream Wedding Bride: Fab Trip to NYC!

Dreamwed_bride_blog

It's Pam here again, the lucky bride who won the $100,000 Dream Wedding Contest from Us Weekly and WeddingChannel.com. While it's still hard to believe I won, here I am in NYC!

I'm in town for a bridal makeover and photo shoot with UsWeekly (photos to come soon!) but I'm also staying at the most incredible hotel -- just check out the photos below.

It's the Buckingham Hotel, and it's right in the heart of it all -- as in, I'm next door to Carnegie Hall. I had time to do a little sightseeing today and I'm also really close to Central Park and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). I may have also stopped off a few other locations that are just around the corner, you know, Tiffany's, Gucci, Bergdorf Goodman and Barney's -- afterall, I should be living it up right now, right?

Buckingham2_580

Anyway, they put me in the Penthouse suite -- and it's to die for. There's a sprawling living room, fireplace, two bathrooms, breakfast nook, king and queen bedrooms, plus -- this is the best part -- a terrace with a view that overlooks Central Park and the midtown Manhattan skyline (photo below!). Needless to say, it's going to be a little sad to have to leave this room.

OK brides, that's all I have time for right now -- it's off to the photo shoot! But I'll be back soon with more details about my wedding.

Dream Wedding Bride: I Won the $100,000 Dream Wedding!

Dreamwed_bride_blog

It's been about a week since Josh and I found out that we won the Us Weekly and WeddingChannel.com $100,000 Dream Wedding Contest and we are still in shock! It is the most amazing yet surreal feeling. There were so many deserving couples so we feel very honored to have been chosen. As we plan our (amazing!) wedding, I'll be blogging about the whole process right here, so I thought I'd start things off by sharing a little about Josh and myself, Pam.

Josh and I have been together for almost three years now. We met at a Jimmy Buffet Concert in September of 2007 and knew right away there was a special chemistry that we just couldn't ignore. For the next two and a half years, we maintained a long distance relationship while he was in the Army. The proposal came on my birthday, this past June at the restaurant where we had our first date. As dessert was served, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. A moment that I will never forget!

Now we're headed for the next big step -- the wedding! From the time I was a little girl, I have known exactly what I wanted my wedding to be like. When I saw Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey's wedding it was like a page straight our of my dreams. I loved the elegance and classic look that the candles and soft colored roses gave during the ceremony and reception. When it comes to the dress, I want my gown to mimic the wedding style -- classic and elegant, with a little sexiness rolled in! I love designers like Monique Lhuillier, Pnina Tornai, Romona Keveza, and Jim Hjelm.

My dream wedding would be timeless and classic. It will be a romantic and intimate affair, with thousands of blush pink, white, and champagne colored flowers. The most important part to me is that our family and friends feel that they are a big part of this day. I can't wait for this to be the wedding they will never forget.

Check out the photos below, and weigh in: what do you think of my wedding inspiration?

Prince Nikolaos of Greece Marries!

Niolaos1_580

We'll be honest -- we love a good royal wedding nearly as much as a plain old celebrity one. So we're excited to see that photos have already started emerging from this week's Wednesday nuptials between Prince Nikolaos and Tatiana Blatnik.

The prince, who is son to the former King Constantine of Greece married Tatiana, a fashion events planner, on a southern Greek island in a ceremony that was attended by just about every fabulous royal from across Europe. The guest list included the newly married Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and her hubby, Prince Daniel; plus a pregnant Princess Mary of Denmark, who was named one of the top 10 best dressed women in the world by Vanity Fair. The ceremony was also attended by Queen Sofia of Spain, who is sister to former King Constantine.

We've only got one sneak peak of the couple at their wedding so far, above, shown waiting in a carriage outside the church of St. Nicholas in Spetses, Greece, but we're sure more will come soon. Check out the photos below that show (from left): Princess Victoria with her new husband, the Prince and Tatiana, and the former King and Queen of Greece as they attended a pre-wedding reception on Tuesday. What do you think of their attire? Weigh in below!

Nikolaos2_580

(And in case you're wondering why he's the "former" King, it's because King Constantine was formally deposed in 1973 during the country's military dictatorship. When that ended in 1974, the citizens of Greece voted in referendum to abolish the country's monarchy.)

Double Wedding for Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears?

Britney_jamie_wedding_250

Could pop star Britney Spears and her little sister Jamie Lynn Spears tie the knot in a double wedding? Well, that's what OK! magazine is claiming on this week's cover.

According to inside sources, while the sisters were at a Lady Gaga concert earlier this month in L.A., Britney proposed the idea that they both marry their boyfriends, Jason Trawick (who has been dating Britney for just over a year now) and Casey Aldridge (Jamie Lynn's baby daddy). Britney was only half-joking about a "a huge, over-the-top Hollywood affair," reports OK!, but when the couples returned home to Britney's Calabasas home the girls just couldn't stop talking about the possibilities.

We admit, a double wedding between Britney and her sister would definitely make headlines, but is it for real? We'll find out in the weeks to come, but in the meantime, tell us, what do you think a double wedding for Britney and Jamie Lynn would look like? Weigh in below!
