Chelsea Clinton Gown Knock-Offs?
The Vera Wang gown that made headlines last weekend for Chelsea Clinton's wedding could soon be a little more affordable.
On Tuesday, A.B.S. by Allen Schwartz announced that he would release two gowns that were "inspired by" last weekend's Rhinebeck festivities, reports The Daily Beast. And the gown styles? One will be a wedding gown and one will be intended for the mother-of-the-bride.
Chelsea's crystal beaded organza ball gown will obviously be the "inspiration" for the first dress, while Hillary Clinton's plum-to-lavender Oscar de la Renta original (seen above) is expected to be the "inspiration" for the second gown. Schwartz says the gowns will be available "in time for the holidays."
But Allen Schwartz isn't the only designer looking to sway brides into Chelsea's style. David's Bridal also advertised two dresses this week (including the one above right, which retails for $1,050) as being similar to Chelsea's style, reports The Daily Beast.
Neither Vera Wang nor Oscar de la Renta have released comments on Allen Schwartz's proposed designs. So you tell us, would you want to imitate Chelsea's style for your wedding? Or will you go for something else? Take our poll and weigh in below.
