"Bachelorette" Star Ali Fedotowski Feels Pressured to Get Engaged

Ali_bachelorette_250

On next week's season finale of "The Bachelorette," millions of Americans will tune in to see which guy bachelorette Ali Fedotowski will accept a proposal from. If that doesn't put a lot of pressure on a girl, we don't know what does.

Us Weekly reports that Ali is anxious about accepting a proposal from one of the men since all but one Bachelor season has ended with an engagement. The only bachelor or bachelorette to ever walk away without picking their true love was bachelor Brad Womack in 2007.

Season 5 bachelorette DeAnna Pappas told Us Weekly that Ali is stressed because there is "a lot of pressure to not break [the guys'] hearts." Having gone through the Bachelorette experience herself, Pappas also says she hopes Ali doesn't regret her final decision later on.

And so far, at least, it looks like she doesn't. Ali told reporters at last Thursday's Bowling with the Stars event in Hollywood that she's confident she "in the decisions" she made -- but she wouldn't even go into details about whether that decision actually meant picking a guy!

So you tell us, did you ever feel pressured by family or friends to get engaged? Or did you feel like your fiance felt any pressure to propose? And now that you are engaged, is the pressure off -- or is there just new input from you family about what the wedding should be like? Share your thoughts below!

More Chelsea Clinton Wedding Details!

Chelsea_collage1

It's almost here -- and as you know, Chelsea Clinton's highly anticipated upcoming nuptials to Marc Mezvinsky are already being hailed as the wedding of the century! Though the Clintons are being tight-lipped about the big day, which is supposedly this Saturday with a ceremony at 6 p.m., we've rounded up plenty of predictions and insider info.

The dress: The rumors have been put to rest, as Women's Wear Daily (WWD) confirmed today that Chelsea Clinton will be wearing a custom Vera Wang gown. The bride-to-be was spotted Tuesday outside Wang's Manhattan showroom. Then again, there's always the possibility that she could don more than one gown. MOB Hillary Clinton has reportedly been spotted at Oscar de la Renta's Manhattan showroom and insiders at MSNBC.com say that both mother and daughter have made appearances there in recent weeks. Still, WWD insists it's all Vera -- and there are even custom designed gowns for the flower girls and the bridesmaids too!

The cost: Chelsea and Mark's wedding is now rumored to have a $3 million price tag making it one of the most lavish weddings in history (other top contenders include Sir Paul McCartney's wedding to Heather Mills, now divorced, and Elizabeth Hurley's wedding to Arun Nayar, estimated at $2.5 million). Other experts from E!Online claim the wedding could be as high as $5 million.

Among the most expensive aspects? Try $200,00 for security, $500,000 for high-end flower arrangements and bouquets (reportedly from Boston-based company Winston Flowers), and $600,000 for air-conditioned glass-walled tents. This morning, TMZ.com, also reported the Clinton's will spend some $15,000 on "Presidential Series Luxury Washrooms" -- that come complete with "sinks with hot water, marble interior, air conditioning, skylights and flushing toilets, plus plenty of paper products and soap," according to Associate Content.

Location, location, location: Part of the reason that the wedding could be so expensive, is due to it's remote location and the fact that everything will have to be brought in from elsewhere. Supposedly Blue Ribbon will share catering with with the St. Regis and Olivier Cheng Catering. The wedding has been rumored to be at the Astor Courts in Rhinebeck, NY; but of course, we've also all been hearing the "Rhinebeck Conspiracy Theories" that it's really just a decoy location to keep the media away from the real wedding. Astor Courts is a Versailles inspired private mansion built in 1902 and was recently put on the market (and then suspiciously taken off the market) for $12 million. The rehearsal dinner will reportedly be held in a "stone barn on a 525-acre estate called Grasmere," Erica Orden of the Wall Streeet Journal reported today. The cost for the rehearsal dinner alone, with an estimated guest list of 100-200 guests, could easily run in the $100,000-$250,000 range.

The Food: Given the remote location, it wouldn't surprise us if each guest meal was $1,000 to $1,500. But it doesn't end there. NY Magazine reports that each guest will receive a bottle of wine from Clinton Vineyards (cute) upon their arrival.

And there's still more to come! Check back for our wrap up of Chelsea's big day. And don't forget to weigh in below and tell us your own predictions for Chelsea's wedding. What do you think it will be like?

Hulk Hogan's Ex-Wife Engaged to 21-year-old Boyfriend

Hogan_Hill_250

Life can be tough in Cougarville, especially when you plan to make that status official by marrying your 29-years-younger boyfriend after a vicious public divorce.

But that's the case for Hulk Hogan's ex-wife Linda Bollea, 50, and her 21-year-old fiance, Charlie Hill, reports PopEater.com. The couple dated for two years after meeting because Hill went to school with Bollea's children, Brooke and Nick. Daughter Brooke isn't thrilled though, and says she disapproves of the relationship altogether, according to TheFrisky.com. After all, as DallasNews.com points out, the marriage would make Brooke a year older than her own step-father.

Hulk on the other hand, whose divorce from Linda was official last year, expressed nothing but happiness over the union, saying he is "ecstatic" for his ex-wife, reports RadarOnline.com. Whether his happiness is sincere or not is to be decided, but maybe his excitement has something to do with the, um, expenses he's been paying since the divorce? Linda and Charlie plan to marry next summer aboard a yacht named -- what else? -- "Alimony."

Weigh in! What do you think about Linda's new beau? Is this a match made in heaven? And what about the age difference -- does it matter at all? Tell us below!

Secret Celeb Wedding Ceremonies: July Wrap-Up

Alicia Keys, Miranda Kerr, Chelsea Clinton

July was a hot month for celebrity weddings! Country singer Carrie Underwood, Actress Emily Blunt and former MTV VJ La La Vazquez have all tied the knot this month—and with the end of the month in sight, the wedding bells aren’t stopping anytime soon!

Last week rumors swirled that R&B queen Alicia Keys was set to marry her music-producer fiancé, Swizz Beats over the weekend. The five-months-pregnant Grammy winner reportedly wanted to marry in Europe or on a yacht in the Caribbean before the arrival of her baby. The bride was set to don a gown by Vera Wang and blue shoes by Christian Louboutin as the couple shared their day with A-listers like Beyonce, Jay-Z and Oprah Winfrey. But last Friday the couple squashed fantasies of a star-studded wedding, saying that the wedding would be “soon,” but not over the weekend.

In other weekend wedding news, Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom officially tied the knot! The couple wed in a secret ceremony on an undisclosed Caribbean island, followed by a romantic tropical honeymoon. The gorgeous newlyweds flashed their new wedding rings on their way back to Los Angeles this morning—simple His-and-Hers matching gold bands.

Last but not least: Chelsea Clinton’s wedding has drawn speculation from all parties since she and fiancé Marc Mezvinski first announced their engagement in November 2009—and we can’t get enough. The big day is fast approaching and so are the rumors. The former first family is reportedly spending up to $2 million on the couple’s secretive July 31st nuptials.

Among the secrets is the location of the wedding-- guests were told to be in the New York City metro area but weren't given an exact venue. The wedding is rumored to take place at Astor Courts, an early twentieth-century Versailles-inspired mansion in Rhinebeck, NY. The bride may wear Vera Wang or Oscar de la Renta, the bridal designer of choice for fellow first-daughter Jenna Bush-Hager. Chelsea favors tailored looks, so we wouldn't be surprised if her custom confection featured an illusion neckline or cap sleeves.

The entire event will be grand and costly, but not without regard to the environment. We expect Chelsea to choose a vegan cake to accomodate her gluten allergy, and to choose lush seasonal flower arrangements for an eco-friendly touch. We also expect Chelsea and Mark to make charitable donations to a cause close to their heart in their guests' names.
