Jane Lynch Ties the Knot!
Looks like Jane Lynch has something to sing and dance about.
The actress, who plays Sue Sylvester, the cheerleading coach everyone loves to hate, on the hit musical-comedy series "Glee," has tied the knot with her girlfriend, Dr. Lara Embry, reports People.com.
The couple, who have been engaged since November, were married at the Blue Heron Restaurant in Sunderland, Mass. by a friend who became ordained in order to marry the couple.
The happy couple tells the NY Times that they both shared a near instant mutual attraction for each other and that their high-profile careers had nothing to do with it. The two struck up a long-distance relationship, with Jane in Los Angeles and Lara, a clinical psychiatrist, living in Sarasota, Florida, and raising her daughter, Haden.
During their vows, Jane promised "to be the very best parent I can be," along with pledging "to do my best to get her 'iCarly' tickets." And during the reception, Jane even cut loose with her new daughter, Haden, dancing to Madonna's "Vogue." Food at the wedding reception included oysters, lobster triangles, Japanese crab salad, seared scallops, truffle mushroom salad, and pan-seared breast of duck with duck confit, reports People.com. As for the wedding cake? A house-made cake with chocolate mousse, vanilla buttercream, and fresh strawberries was served around 10 p.m. to the 15 guests who attended.
