Prince Albert II of Monaco Gets Engaged
As mentioned in our previous post, it's been a real week of royal love! Prince Albert II of Monaco, 52, announced his engagement to Charlène Wittstock yesterday. And now the details are starting to emerge.
The Prince first appeared in publich with Wittstock, who is 32 and from South Africa, at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, reports People.com. Apparently the former schoolteacher was tutored in what would be expected of her by the Prince's sisters, Princesses Stephanie and Caroline. But it didn't take long for the blonde beauty to fit in. "She knows instinctively what is expected of her," an insider tells People.com. The couple was also spotted at Princess Victoria's wedding last weekend in Stockholm. Prince Albert II is the son of the late film star, Princess Grace Kelly and the late Rainer III, Prince of Monaco.
And just check out the engagement ring Prince Albert gave to Charlene. It's, well, fit for a princess. The ring was created by the Parisian jewelry house Maisson Repossi and features a pear-shaped diamond in the center, set in gray gold with round diamond brilliants surrounding it, reports People.com. Tell us, what do you think of the sparkler?
We've also picked out a couple of wedding dresses that we think would be fit for this royal wedding, weigh in on what you think below!
