Waiting for Him to Put a Ring On It? Go See Leap Year!

Leap_year_movie_2010
New romantic comedy Leap Year (out today!) starring Amy Adams is the perfect date movie for all you girls out there patiently waiting for a little left-hand bling. Here’s the story: Super type-A interior designer Anna (played by Adams) gets excited when her longtime boyfriend presents her a jewelry box during dinner—but when she opens it, she only finds diamond earrings inside. To lift her spirits, her Irish father reminds her that on Leap Day, it’s a tradition that a woman can propose to a man. Inspired, she decides to follow her love to Ireland (where he just happens to be headed on a business trip!) and surprise him by popping the question. But, of course, plans start to unravel when Anna meets another boy along the way.

This movie is the cinematic equivalent to leaving an engagement ring on the coffee table. What better way to tell him that you’re so sick of waiting you might just take desperate measures than to take him to see this flick and laugh out loud from beginning to end? We enjoyed it, and you will too. Lookout for scene-stealer Matthew Goode who plays Declan (AKA Other Guy) and totally nails the Irish accent and the mysterious charm!

On a side note, how do you feel about a girl proposing to her guy? Spoiling the fun, or better than the waiting game?

The movie’s out today. To find a theater near you playing it click here!
