Kate Moss Gets Engagement Bling for Her Birthday

0120_katemoss_matrix_FN_EW__0032433 Model Kate Moss got the best birthday gift ever this week -- a sparkly diamond engagement ring from her longtime beau, Kills guitarist Jamie Hince. Moss was working on a small private island in the West Indies, and her prince charming flew in to surprise her with an intimate proposal, reports The Daily News.

"Kate was stunned," a friend told the Daily Mail. "Jamie called her up and told her not to come home. He said he was flying out to Mustique. He had carefully picked a ring and chose her birthday to propose.”

Plus, rumor has it Hince asked Moss’s boss and close friend for a little assistance when it came to pick out the ring. (Aww!) We love a sweet birthday proposal!

It’s always fun scanning the red-carpet at a big awards show. You’ll see a little bit of everything : Styles you love, those you don’t, and the looks you only wish you had the courage to wear. There’s plenty of eye-candy to go around, and if you look closely, you’ll find some bridal-friendly ideas too. (The stars just love an elegant white gown!) Kate Hudson’s Sculpted Beauty

Kate Hudson chose to strut her stuff on the red-carpet wearing a structured white Marchesa gown with matching Casadei pumps and Stephen Russell diamond jewelry. The look works well for brides looking for an edgier look on their wedding day. Love the look? This Angel Sanchez gown has a similar sculpting at the bustline.

Kristen Bell’s Short and Sassy Modern Style

Actress Kristen Bell earned a spot on our best-dressed list with this chic Jasmine di Milo gown with modern origami pleating on the front. She told radio host Ryan Seacrest she chose a shorter hemline so she could “move like a tiger”. Love the look? Lala Vasquez and Carmelo Anthony Finally Set a Date

FNP_ER_lalavasquez_0001020 VH1 Host and former MTV veejay Lala Vasquez revealed on The Wendy Williams Show last week the big news her fans had been waiting (and waiting!) on: After a five-year engagement, she and fiancé Carmelo Anthony (a player for the Denver Nuggets) have finally set a wedding date. Vasquez confirmed they are having a summer wedding and are currently hunting for venues and designers in New York!
Looks like the bride plans to enjoy every minute of the planning process. To eliminate pre-wedding stress she hired celebrity planner Mindy Weiss as their wedding planner. (Weiss has planned weddings for clients like Heidi Klum and Gwen Stefani) We’re sure Mindy will help the longtime loves have the wedding of their dreams! Expected to have nearly 300 guests in attendance, including a long list of A-listers, this wedding will certainly be buzz-worthy!

“Everybody's been waiting for it so long, we might as well invite everybody to come hang out,” Vasquez told Wendy. ‘So long is right! Five years is a long time to wait for your big day. What are your thoughts on long engagements? Are they a do or don’t? How long is too long?

Kevin Jonas’ Wedding Aisle Runners Found (And We LOVE Them!)

011310Jonasrunner

So we all know that pop star Kevin Jonas (of The Jonas Brothers fame) married longtime love Danielle Deleasa a few weeks back in a beautiful fairytale ceremony. But what we didn’t know is that two of our favorite wedding vendors were part of the dream team behind the beautiful finished project. The couple’s fairytale winter wedding theme was designed by event planner extraordinaire Michael Russo of Roses-n-Lollipops, and we just heard from our friends at The Original Runner Company who sent over photos of the custom aisle runner they designed for the event.

We just love it when couples work seasonal details into their wedding style. The Jonas runner’s snowflake design (shown on left!) is so sophisticated and chic. If you love this look as much as we do you can find similar styles from The Original Runner Company’s collection online and request a quote. Listen up winter brides: We’ve totally fallen for this pink and white tree graphic we found in their seasonal gallery, and we bet you will too. Or, if you’re incorporating blues (the wedding "It" color for 2010!), adding this pretty white snowflake design on your runner will perfect a winter wonderland theme.

How are you incorporating seasonal details into your wedding? Share your ideas below!

A Real Bride Reflects on Her A-List Dream Wedding

Van and Eric (Ceremony and Reception) from Monachetti on Vimeo.

Remember our 2009 dream wedding winners Van Ngo and Eric Oberly? We’ve got more video to share from their fabulous fall wedding. Take a behind-the-scenes look at their celebrity-inspired “I dos”. (A very special thanks to the awesome videographer Michael Eller of Monachetti!)

We checked in with Ngo to find out what the whole experience was like for her and found out that she’s still on cloud nine about it!

“The wedding was more than anything we could've dreamed of,” says Ngo. “It’s so hard to pick out a favorite detail because everything really was wonderful. The band was amazing, and the flowers took my breath away. The food and cake looked as good as it tasted. I look back on our wedding day in awe and disbelief because it really was perfect.”

What’s your dream wedding style? Tell us below!

Alyssa Milano Goes Bridal on ABC’s Castle -- Her Gorgeous Dress Found!

011210_alyssa
Last night fans of newlywed Alyssa Milano got a chance to see her go bridal once more when she guest starred as a distraught bride-to-be on ABC’s hit mystery drama Castle. Milano played a bride to be whose bridesmaid turned up dead so her wedding had to be postponed. (Um, that sucks!) Though the circumstances surrounding the story line was tragic, the dress was stunning -- and so was Alyssa in it. You can find it at a David’s Bridal near you. It’s the Oleg Cassini dress (CRL277), a strapless sweetheart beaded lace trumpet gown with a shirred tulle bodice and a sweep train. Get it in ivory or white before it’s gone! (You know what happens when a dress shows up on TV or film!)

Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood to Marry!

011210_evanmailyn The controversial rocker is ready to say “I do,” a source tells People.

According to reports, Marilyn Manson, 41, asked girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood, 22, to marry him during a performance in Paris early last week. The happy couple have been together on-and-off since 2006. Despite all the rumors hitting the gossip circuit, reps for both parties have yet to comment on or confirm the engagement. Here's to hoping that the rumors are true, because with the unique (and out there!) bold style these lovebirds share, we're sure it will be the most controversial “I dos” we've seen in years. Can’t you see Wood wearing a black or a red dress? We can!

Waiting for Him to Put a Ring On It? Go See Leap Year!

Leap_year_movie_2010
New romantic comedy Leap Year (out today!) starring Amy Adams is the perfect date movie for all you girls out there patiently waiting for a little left-hand bling. Here’s the story: Super type-A interior designer Anna (played by Adams) gets excited when her longtime boyfriend presents her a jewelry box during dinner—but when she opens it, she only finds diamond earrings inside. To lift her spirits, her Irish father reminds her that on Leap Day, it’s a tradition that a woman can propose to a man. Inspired, she decides to follow her love to Ireland (where he just happens to be headed on a business trip!) and surprise him by popping the question. But, of course, plans start to unravel when Anna meets another boy along the way.

This movie is the cinematic equivalent to leaving an engagement ring on the coffee table. What better way to tell him that you’re so sick of waiting you might just take desperate measures than to take him to see this flick and laugh out loud from beginning to end? We enjoyed it, and you will too. Lookout for scene-stealer Matthew Goode who plays Declan (AKA Other Guy) and totally nails the Irish accent and the mysterious charm!

On a side note, how do you feel about a girl proposing to her guy? Spoiling the fun, or better than the waiting game?

The movie’s out today. To find a theater near you playing it click here!
