Jaime Pressly Marries in Lovely Vintage Wedding

Jaime_pressly_wedding_photo

Meet the new Mr. and Mrs. Singh! My Name is Earl star Jaime Pressly wed entertainment lawyer Simran Singh in a beautiful outdoor wedding on Saturday evening.

Guest gathered at Dick Clark’s 12-acre Malibu estate for the day’s events, which is on a bluff with a breathtaking ocean view (Adam Sandler) also got married there!). The bride wore two lovely dresses by British designer Jenny Packham – a long sexy ivory silk gown embellished with more than 800,000 Swarvoski crystals, sequins, and glass beads, and a plunging V-neck for the ceremony, and an open-backed, 40’s inspired cocktail dress for the reception. (We love the wardrobe change Jaime!) She paired her two fabulous looks with a crystal headpiece from Acacia and birdcage veil. All ten of her bridesmaids walked down the aisle in silver one-shouldered dresses, also by Packham. Pressly carried a bouquet of pink and white roses (so sweet!), which were also scattered along the aisle courtesy of Floral Art. The bride’s 2-year old son Dezi served as the ring bearer.

The pair hosted an outdoor reception in an open-air tent, where guests sat at circular tables with all white linens, decorated with pink and white floral centerpieces and pillar candles. To complete the vintage-era style, crystal chandeliers were hung from the ceilings. A white four-tier round wedding cake was served for dessert. Sounds like it was a beautiful night! Congrats you two!

American Idol Alum Justin Guarini’s Fairytale Wedding

093009_stephenBrown

Justin Guarini is one happy man. Though he may have lost to winner Kelly Clarkson on American Idol’s first season, he won his dream girls’ heart, and on Saturday afternoon they finally said “I do”. The singer married his junior-high school sweetheart, Reina Capodici, in a lovely garden wedding at a private estate in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, his hometown.

The pair had originally planned to wed next summer, but the groom said he just couldn’t wait any longer.

"We just wanted to be married so badly," Guarini told People. "I thought to myself, 'It's time.' Seeing how much we both had grown, how well we operated together, and how in love we are, it just made absolute sense."

We tracked down the couple’s wedding photographer, Steve Brown of Looking Glass Photography, who knows the bride and groom personally, and said he was delighted to shoot their wedding for them. And what a beautiful wedding it was! The bride chose a peacock feather theme to carry throughout the décor. Would you get a look at that bouquet? We’re in awe – so unique, and so beautiful! The pair passed around a moss-covered wooden box with their vows inside to each of their 50 guests before the ceremony, so each person could share prayers and good wishes. (Very sweet idea!) But, our favorite ceremony detail by far has to be the fact that Guarini read vows to the bride’s 4-year-old daughter Lola, and gave her a necklace, so that she would also have a very special role in their wedding. (Excuse us, while our hearts just melt!)

The reception party was thrown at Guarini’s parents’ estate. What was on the menu? Salmon and asparagus, which guests enjoyed, along with the deejay playing tunes. The couple shared their first dance with Lola and chose “Samson” by Regina Spektor. But, no serenade from the groom here! Guarini chose to skip the performing this time, and let the professionals do their jobs.

Special thanks to Steve Brown of Looking Glass Photography for the lovely photos. Be sure to check out more photos from their big day here !

Khloe Kardashian Weds in Lavish Outdoor Ceremony -- Get All the Lovely Details!

092509KhloeInvites

It’s official people! Reality star and radio host Khloe Kardashian and Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom are man and wife. After dating for just under a month, the couple managed to fall in love, get engaged, and throw a wedding affair to be remembered.

On Sunday evening, the pair exchanged vows during a fairytale wedding ceremony at the home of music mogul Irving Azoff in Beverley Hills, in front of arches made of white roses. A 10-piece orchestra played during the ceremony. The bride wore Vera Wang down the aisle, holding a gorgeous bouquet of white nosegay roses , stephanotis, and lilies of the valley. (How romantic!) Her stepfather Bruce Jenner escorted her down the aisle, and sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian were both bridesmaids, reports People. The maids’ gowns were lavender and their bouquets were made of white roses. Celebrity florist Mark Garden created all the blooms for their big day.

The couple’s 250+ special guests received these invites, designed by Lehr & Black, just days before the wedding. The event was black-tie and most guest (who were told to leave their blackberries behind!) arrived early for a prewedding party. Wedding planner Sharon Sacks helped the pair create a Hollywood nightclub theme for their tented reception. (Think: fitted with dark wooden walls, white carpeting, silver mirrors and chandeliers – we love it) R&B legend Babyface performed (Whoa! Well played Khloe!) and a deejay kept the party going until the early morning. The centerpiece arrangements were made of calla lilies roses and exotic leaves, paired with lavender touches in tall glass vases. We’re lovin’ the romantic elegant, you guys. Filet mignon and wild salmon were on the dinner menu, followed by a dessert trio, and the four-tier wedding cake which was designed by Hansen's Cakes.

The event was taped for a future episode of E!’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians -- which we cannot wait to see! – and the celebrity guest list included Ryan Seacrest, Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa, Chelsea Handler, and Kelly Osbourne. The bride’s sis, Kim was still feeling the love this morning: “"Khloe & Lamar's wedding was a night to remember!" she Tweeted. "I love u both so much!"

Hot DC Venue Idea with Lots of Celeb Connections

092509_dreamweddingB

What do Barack Obama, Tom Hanks, and Wyclef Jean have in common? They’ve all attended or spoken at an event at the spectacular Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington D.C. on historic Pennsylvania Avenue -– a local venue favorite, and the perfect setting for your A-list “I Do”s.

The property has so much to offer a bride and groom in search of a one-of-a-kind location with true star appeal. Think: Dramatic sight lines, city grandeur, and expansive spaces! Host an intimate event for 50 people, or the event of the year for 800 plus; the space will accommodate any wedding style. We love the thought of exchanging vows beneath the stars with the city as your backdrop on the Woodrow Wilson Plaza. This space offers so many ways for you to wow your guests! They’ll dine on selections from a personalized menu inspired by your big-day, thanks to the Reagan Building's fabulous culinary team, which specializes in creating multi-ethnic cuisines with a contemporary twist. (Yum!) Plus, the 125 foot Atrium ceiling is sure to be a crowd pleaser, and just imagine the things you could do with such a space. (Cirque du Soleil performers have suspended from there to entertain guests before – not kidding!) The sky’s the limit girls!

Prices vary by availability and season, but note that the in-house tables, chivari chairs, linens, and Villeroy China are included in the wedding package, if you’d like to use them. We’re such big fans of the venue, we arranged for our Us Weekly dream wedding winners Van and Eric to host their celeb-inspired wedding there. Which is this weekend, by the way, so stay tuned for lots of details and our favorite photos! Click here for more info on the Ronald Reagan Building. Happy planning, brides!

Khloe Kardashian Rushes to Stock Up On Registry Goodies

092309_khloeLamar

I’m back today with more celebrity wedding registry buzz. Unless you’ve been visiting Mars all week long, you should know by now that reality TV star Khloe Kardashian (Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami) and NBA player Lamar Odom are getting married this Sunday in Los Angeles. The blog and boards have been booming with chatter about the big news –- “big” meaning the pair met just one month ago and announced their wedding plans and engagement last weekend.

Reports say the couples’ 200+ guests (which include NBA and reality TV stars galore) are being given details over the phone and that their invites are in the mail. Though she has like a million other things she probably has to do to pull off her dream wedding in week, Kardashian managed to squeeze in a little time with her mom this week to register for lavish wedding gifts. All three of her Williams-Sonoma registries (one’s an obvious fake, and the other may be a decoy of some kind) are filled with pricey picks. These three blew our minds: London Martini Glasses, Set of 4 ($100), Mauviel copper pan set ($1,099), and the Gaggia Titanium Espresso Maker ($1,299).

I’ll definitely be checking back in to see who, if anyone, buys those items. I mean, has anyone ever seen a Kardashian sister cook on the show? I don’t even recall a microwave moment. So far 78% of the CWB fans who voted think these two are making a big mistake. Do you? We’re happy for the lovebirds no matter what but to weigh in you, vote here!

What’s the most expensive item you registered for? Tell us below!

Inside Celebrity Registries: What Exactly Does a ‘Mad’ Woman Register For? Plus, 3 Reasons We Love Newlywed Zooey Deschanel’s Registry Style

Here at WeddingChannel.com we heart wedding registries -- especially fabulous celebrity ones. A celeb’s registry can tell you a lot about them, especially when you compare their red-carpet style to their at-home style.

We just stumbled upon Mad Men star Christina Hendricks and hubby-to-be Geoffrey Arend’s wedding registry at high-end kitchen retailer Sur La Table, and newlyweds Zooey Deschanel and Ben Gibbard’s Williams-Sonoma registry. We checked out both pair’s picks and were impressed with the classy kitchen gear each selected.

092209_registry

Hendricks and Arend’s registry is filled with gorgeous glassware (double walled, insulated beverage glasses anyone?), specialty pots and pans (paella dish – yummy!), and chef knives we wouldn’t dare attempt to use without a medic on standby. Speaking of knives, we love this Shun Classic 3-Piece Set they chose, that’s designed to assist both the kitchen novice and the seasoned chef. Judging from their other picks it’s definitely safe to say at least one of these two lovebirds knows how to cook a gourmet style meal, and they do plan to entertain a guest or two. We love this handy 7-Piece Bar Tool Set they selected. It comes in a stainless steel bucket that’s easy to tote around for hosting convenience. We adore this Bee Glassware Carafe, too. What sweet detailing.

092209_zooey_registry

Meanwhile, Mr. and Mrs. Gibbard’s Williams-Sonoma product picks are so much fun to read about, you can just imagine how cool a dinner party at their new home would be. I spotted an ice cream maker, cookie press, and pastry bags on the list, so somebody sure loves to bake. Being a chocoholic, I went nuts over this chocolate bar brownie pan. It bakes one giant brownie that snaps into twelve easily sharable chunks like a Hershey’s bar. (Ohhhhhhh yeah!) Plus, my mouth just waters at the thought of all the delicious dip-worthy salsa to be made using this chic Italian Tomato Press, and who doesn’t want their very own hand-carved mortar and pestle set at home, seriously?

Are you registering for some pretty fancy kitchenware yourself? Tell us about it below!

The Emmy Awards Fashion Was White Hot: Here Are 4 Hot Looks for Your Wedding

I spotted four great looks for brides on the red carpet at last night's Emmy Awards, and of course found great bridal gown look-alikes just for you. Enjoy!

091709_Emmys_Leighton

Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester is known for the drama on the show, and she didn't hesitate to make a splash on the red carpet last night in a Bottega Veneta white gown with knotted straps, Cathy Waterman jewelry and a matching crimson pout and Bottega Veneta clutch. We love how she's bringing her inner goddess out for all to see. Get this Grecian -inspired look from Vera Wang in this gorgeous gown.

091709_emmys_oneshoulder

Reality TV star (and fierce diva!) Kim Kardashian wowed in this sexy little all-white, one-sleeve Ina Soltani number, paired with a Swarovski clutch and oversized hoop earrings. A very hot look for the urban bride looking to make a statement! Get her look with this gorgeous pick from Oscar de la Renta's Fall 2009 line!

091709_emmys_olivia

House star Olivia Wilde took a walk on the wild side in this risky Marchesa gown (right off the Fashion Week runways), but we like it. Show off your sexy décolletage in a Pnina Tornai gown like this one.

091709_guiliana_halter

Reality star and red carpet host Giuliana Rancic wore a gorgeous ice blue dress by a young Argentinian designer named Gustavo Cadile, but it looked almost white to me, so I got inspired just the same and found an honorable look-alike that fits the bill from J. Crew's bridal collection. Very chic, Giuliana -- we love it!

Khloe Kardashian Talking Marriage After Only Dating for A Few Weeks

ILLO_Hollywood_Rumor_Mill_NEWIn what the heck news, rumor has it that reality TV star Khloe Kardashian (Keeping Up With the Kardashians and Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami) has marriage on her menu. Normally this is the part we would be really happy for her and start thinking about what her wedding style might be, but right now we’re thinking she may want to slow down a little here. Kardashian has only been dating NBA star Lamar Odom for a few months now, and just recently confirmed they were even an item, reports E! News Online.

"They instantly hit it off," a source told E!. "It's like they've known each other for years."

But yet, they haven’t actually known each other even half that long. The pair met through mutual friends this summer. No word yet on the rumor from his camp or hers, but it sounds to us like Miss Kardashian may be trying to pull a Jessica Simpson move, leaking ring-hints to the press – and we all know how that ended up. Are they rushing things? There aren’t many engagement etiquette rules to go on here, so we want to hear what you think?
