Jenna Dewan and
Channing Tatum’s summer fairy-tale wedding.
1. Jenna and Channing met in 2006 when they co-starred in the dance movie
Step Up.
2. Jenna and Channing got engaged in September 2008 while on vacation at the Four Seasons in Maui.
3. Unbeknownst to Jenna, Channing invited friends and family to Maui to witness the surprise engagement.
4. Channing proposed with a brilliant cut Neil Lane engagement ring.
5. Jenna enjoyed her bachelorette party in South Beach and Turks and Caicos with her bridesmaids.
6. The bride and groom collaborated with celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss to plan their nuptials.
7. The
afternoon ceremony took place at Church Estate Vineyards in Malibu on July 11, 2009 .
8. Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie and her husband actor Josh Duhamel also married at the estate in January 2009.
9. Jenna and Channing said their vows under an altar made of pink, white, and cream roses by Mark’s Garden in Malibu.
10. Actress
Haylie Duff was one of Jenna’s five bridesmaids, and
Entourage star
Emmanuelle Chriqui served as the maid of honor.
11. Channing’s groomsmen included
G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra co-star
Marlon Wayans and actor
Nick Zano.
12. Two flower girls sported fairy wings as they traipsed down the aisle.
13. The bride and groom said “I do” before 220 guests, including
Step Up franchise producer
Adam Shankman.
14. Channing’s 12 groomsmen donned black Armani suits for the ceremony.
15. Jenna’s six bridesmaids, including Channing’s sister Paige, wore pink halter dresses with varying necklines.
16. Jenna
wore a custom peach-and-ivory dress designed by Reem Acra, who was also a guest at the wedding (and TweetPiced while there), accessorized with a long veil and Neil Lane drop earrings.
17. An orchestra performed during the brief 15-minute outdoor ceremony.
18. After the ceremony, the couple and their guests celebrated with a sit-down reception beneath a tent.
19. The reception tent was decorated with thousands of roses, hydrangeas and orchids in shades of ivory and pink.
20. The couples’ first dance was to Hawaiian artist
Israel “Iz” Ka’ano’I Kamakawiwo’ole’s “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
21. Guests enjoyed a tiered
wedding cake that was red velvet, chocolate with chocolate fudge, and white cake with funfetti frosting by Cake Divas in Culver City, California.
22. The wedding’s “enchantment” theme was inspired by Jenna’s love of fairies and magic.
23. Guests received
vintage hankies and “fairy” crystals as favors.
24. The happy couple honeymooned in Bali, but the trip was cut short after a bout of food poisoning.
25. The new husband and wife celebrated their marriage with
matching tattoos that say “side by side” in Balinese.
