Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett's Tech-Free Honeymoon Fun

KendraWilkinsonHoneymoonPhotos

Newlyweds Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett honeymooned for nine days at Jade Mountain. Located in St. Lucia, the 600-acre resort is bordered by two private Caribbean beaches, and from the looks of the photos she shared in Us Weekly and on her blog, these two had the time of their lives.

"Me and Hank had the most INCREDIBLE time on our honeymoon in St. Lucia," blogs Wilkinson. "It was sooooo relaxing and so amazing to finally be married and not dealing with any of the stresses that come with planning a wedding! We loved every minute of it!"

The couple stayed in the resort’s luxurious “SUN” Infinity Pool Sanctuary. “It’s a 2,000 square-foot room…overlooking the ocean,” Wilkinson revealed to US Weekly. Daily rates range from $850 - $1450 per couple.

The lovebirds were totally isolated from the outside world with no access to a telephone, radio, or television. (They weren’t even allowed to use their cell phones in public!) So how did they keep themselves entertained? The couple had several day excursions to choose from, including coral reef snorkeling and hiking tours.

Aisle Runners with Star Style!

Ashlee_simpson_wentz_pete_wedding_rose_aisle_runnerWhen you’re gawking over photos from a fabulous celebrity wedding, it’s often the flowers that really catch your eye. Stars use them in abundance, and in the most unique ways, often filling a space with them. You can do the same for your wedding, but it will cost you. Elaborate floral arrangements aren’t cheap! There is, however, an affordable alternative:

When Ashlee Simpson-Wentz married Pete Wentz last year in an Alice and Wonderland themed wedding ceremony, she used red roses and black magic roses throughout the decor to add a true wow-factor to her details. We fell in love with her floral-filled aisle (shown here) only to discover later on that though it appeared to be a bed of flowers, it was actually a floral printed aisle runner from The Original Runner Company instead. (You could have fooled us!) Not only is the runner a lovely optical illusion for your aisle, but it’s also made with a non-slip backing to ensure that everyone has a smooth trip down the aisle! Here's the runner, the Wentzs chose, but we also love this white version, because it reminds us of the heavenly all—white loft wedding thrown by Beyonce and Jay-Z. Two great looks for less than you'd expect, for sure! (Call the company for custom price estimates based on the length needed for your aisle.)

Ivanka Trump Has Converted to Judaism for Her Fiancé

Ivanka_Bbedder_getty86144400_10Ivanka Trump got engaged to Jared Kushner, owner of The New York Observer last Wednesday, according to the new bride-to-be’s Twitter.

Jared practices Orthodox Judaism, which leaves no room for an interdenominational wedding According to New York Magazine, Ivanka converted to Judaism last week, which gave Jared the green light to finally propose. We can already see these pair getting married under a huppah and dancing the horah at their reception!

Tell us ladies, would you be willing to convert to another religion for your sweetheart? Or would you ask him to convert for you?

NBA Star Richard Jefferson Dumps Fiancée Then Pays Her Off – Would You Take It?

RLoud_getty_74593125_10_250As we're sure you heard, former New Jersey Nets star Richard Jefferson dumped his on-again off-again fiancé, Kesha Ni’Cole Nichols, six days before their July 11 wedding date.

The couple apparently argued non-stop, and their love quickly came to an end when Jefferson sent Nichols a venting e-mail.

“I e-mailed her to put all of my thoughts down. Because when you’re having these conversations, you might be crying, she’s crying, you change what you’re saying. You know, you just can’t get all of your thoughts down in a row,” spilled Jefferson on The Howard Stern Show. The two then engaged in a lengthy two-hour phone call before parting amicably.

Now, we’re not judging him for breaking things off. BUT, sending his ex off with a rumored six figure pay-off? Sounds pretty shady to us! We get that it was done as a friendly gesture, but still. If you were in her position, would you take the money? Tell us your thoughts ladies!

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s Vintage Wedding Favors

Jennahankies

We found a great favor idea from Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s recent fairytale wedding in Malibu.

Since Dewan loves vintage-inspirations, the couple filled a basket with vintage hankies for the woman to use to dry their “tears of joy,” blogged celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss, who helped to plan their big day. Dewan’s mother sent in most of the hankies, and Weiss confessed that she found several of the rest of the fabrics on eBay for cheap. A few flower heads were thrown in for an elegant touch. We just love this idea, and now we’re thinking of all the other ways a bride could potentially use a vintage handkerchief as wedding décor: You could accent centerpieces or bouquets with them, or even tuck them into the groomsman’s suit jackets. The possibilities are endless, and vintage weddings are just so hot right now.

Holly Madison's Faux Wedding to a Surprising Groom

Travelocity_Denise_Truscello_GettyImages_88993149On a recent press tour for her new gig Peepshow, star Holly Madison pulled the ultimate trick on her fans. After tweeting all day long that she would be getting married that day, fans started guessing who the lucky guy might be. Later on, the joke was on everyone, when she posted photos from her faux wedding. The lucky groom was the Travelocity gnome, and an Elvis impersonator officiated the ceremony! (That's so Vegas!) The shoot will be featured in an upcoming ad for the travel site. I laughed so hard, I had to share. Very funny, Holly! Who did you think she was going to marry? I was thinking she and ex Criss Angel had a quickie Vegas wedding in the works. Guess she fooled us all!

Check Out Kendra and Hank’s Custom Wedding Stationery

For former playmate Kendra Wilkinson and her new hubby NFL star Hank Baskett, ordinary wedding stationery just wouldn’t cut it. For their recent wedding at the Playboy mansion and the prewedding parties the couple chose to send out custom designed invites by Paper Olive (who, coincidentally, is currently nominated for a WeddingChannel.com Bridal Blog Award).

Check out these pretty whimsical invites. Let’s dissect the fabulousness, shall we? Don’t they just pop with those stripes of lavender? The coordinated frames highlights event information while a simple key design truly accents Kendra and Hank’s “thank you” message to their guests. Very nice you two, and a job well done Paper Olive!

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan's Fairytale Wedding Details

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan, who met while starring in dance flick, Step Up, wed Saturday afternoon on an oceanfront lawn in Malibu, reports People. The pair picked popular venue Church Estate Vineyards (where Fergie and Natasha Bedingfield recently wed) for their ceremony. The bride’s Reem Acra gown featured a sweetheart neckline and ruffled skirt while the groom paired a white necktie with his Giorgio Armani suit. Entourage star Emmanuelle Chriqui served as maid of honor and actress/singer Haylie Duff was one of Dewan’s bridesmaids.

The couple incorporated a fairy theme throughout the day with the help of celebrity wedding planner, Mindy Weiss. The flower girls wore fairy wings down the aisle (check out the DIY fairy-wings tutorial on our sister blog myDIYweddingday!) and a fairy castle wedding cake from the gang at Cake Divas was served.

What do you think about their fairytale theme? These two seem so in love! Talk below!

Remember Steve Urkel? The Guy Who Played Him Has a Funny New (Wedding) Series on the Web!

Steve_erkel_1

A good friend of our CWB designer is starring in the hit You Tube web series Road to the Altar alongside actor Jaleel White (better known as Steve Urkel from Family Matters). It's a 10-episode mockumentary style comedy about an offbeat couple that lets a reality crew in on their wedding planning fun -- if you can call it that. White is hilarious as a well-intentioned groom who can’t seem to say or do the right thing on camera, and actress Leyna Weber (the friend we speak of) is equally as fun to watch, playing a bride on a mission to plan the perfect wedding. This is a seriouslyl funny must-see for any bride looking for a procrastination break from all the worrisome planning. I smell a comeback for White and a breakout role for Weber. Do you? Check out the recent webisodes now!
