Wedding Planning Woes for Amy Adams
Adams and Le Gallo got engaged in July of last year but she has yet to begin any wedding planning. When asked by a Reuters's reporter if she has a "'dream wedding in mind" the actress replied, "Hopefully, I can move forward on that in the next couple of months. I think if I had some kind of dream, it would be easier. That's been part of the problem."
Hmmm, with all the resources stars have at their fingertips I must say I'm surprised someone hasn't chimed in with some ideas for Adams. Let's hope she doesn't channel her Enchanted experience with a fairy-tale worthy ball gown complete with ultra-poofy sleeves and layers of tulle. (Yikes!)
Thanks to a lucky reporter at the San Francisco Chronicle who nabbed an interview with Adams, we do have some idea of what she wants for her big day. The interviewer asked if Adams had read anything false about herself lately and she said, "I supposedly want a huge wedding. It's an example of how things are taken out of context. I just want it to be intimate with the big family." (She has six siblings!)
With so little to go on it might seem daunting to begin planning such an important day. Lucky for Amy, I have some suggestions. I picture a destination wedding at a villa in Italy (she was born there). The guest list should be small, her large family, Le Gallo's family, and a few close friends. She would be stunning in a fitted lace gown with a sweep train -- I recommend Jim Hjelm, (my FAVE designer at the moment). The reception can be held at a nearby vineyard with a family-style dinner of pasta with olives, fresh Italian bread and an abundance of fantastic Italian wine. Bride, groom and guests can finish the night on a sweet note with classic Italian Cream Cake, cannoli and champagne.
