Oscar Accessory Must Have for Bridesmaids: The Clutch

At last night’s Academy Award ceremony, Hollywood’s leading ladies had one hot accessory in common – the clutch bag! Though they each made them their own, there wasn't a lady in line to walk the carpet who didn't have a funky clutch in hand.

From the left: The Wrestler star Evan Rachel Wood wore this sassy red clutch to add a pop of color to her ivory gown. (We see it matches your nail polish too, Evan -- nice touch!) Jessica Biel chose an ultra-glam jeweled black clutch from Prada to compliment her simple satin Prada gown. And, Penelope Cruz played princess for a night opting to carry a little gold Judith Leiber clutch to accompany her oversized ballroom gown.

Planning Tip: If you want to give your bridesmaids “options”, but aren’t quite willing to let them pick their own dresses, offering them the freedom to express themselves with accessories is a great alternative. It allows each bridesmaid the chance to make a little statement of her own, while still honoring the bride’s wish for gown consistency.
