Katherine Heigl's Wedding: Jeweled Accents

We were enjoying the latest copy of Instyle Weddings yesterday, when we hit the last page and noticed a spread on Grey's Anantomy star Katherine Heigl's wedding flowers. Now it wasn't the flowers that actually caught our eye, but rather the ornate snowflake brooch that was propped on her reception table.

We've never given brooches much thought as reception decorations, but upon further investigation, we discovered that Ebay has many anitique options for under $10 apiece.

It got us thinking that brooches are a cheap and easy way to add some eclectic elegance to your reception table, while at the same time, offering up a beautiful and interesting wedding favor for your female guests.
