Get Anne Hathaway’s Golden Globe Look: Classic Beauty

Cwb_anne_hathaway_beauty If you caught last night's Golden Globe Awards, we don't have to tell you how stunning Best Actress nominee Anne Hathaway looked when she hit the red carpet.  Hathaway wore a royal blue silk gazar gown from Giorgio Armani Prive embroidered with Swarvoksi Crystals. She accented her look with vintage diamond and sapphire earrings and dramatic smoky eyes. The Rachel Getting Married star stood out as a true statement of class and sophistication last night.  (Her stylists should be proud!)

Wearing a gown that's heavy on the bling for your wedding day? Anne's classic beauty look from last night's affair might be a winning choice for you. When your dress does all the talking, you don't want your eyes and lips to overshadow your overall effect. The actress is a Lancome ambassador, and celebrity makeup artist Kate Lee decided to share some tips with us on how to achieve this gorgeous look for yourself.

Eyes: After applying a dark liner to the lash base, a small brush was used to blend a dark eye shadow upwards from the lash line. Lee applied Chanel Soft Touch Eye Shadow in Slate was applied to the crease and along the lower lash line, after which her lashes were curled and painted with several layers of Chanel Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir.  Lee chose Lancôme Le Crayon Poudre in Brunet to add definition to Anne's brows, and Lancôme Effacernes Concealer in Ivoir for under-eye coverage.

Blush: To create Anne's well-sculpted cheek bones, Lee, used Chanel Powder Blush in Nude then applied Lancôme Absolue Powder in Absolute Peche to the top of the cheek bones and along the jaw.

Lips: To add a dark raspberry stain to her lips, Lee used a neutral lip liner that was similar to Anne's natural lip color.  Afterwards, spread on a layer of Chanel Hydrabase Lipstick in Lotus Rouge.  To avoid a shiny mess, Lee used Chanel Poudre Cristalline  on Anne's forehead, and a quick spritz of Lancome Magnifique.
