Beyoncé Knowles is finally talking about her spring wedding to rap mogul Jay-Z , people! (Is it raining cats and dogs outside?) The notoriously tight lipped diva actually goes on the record with Essence in the latest issue about the special bond she shares with her new hubby and why it was so important to her to keep her wedding details out of the press.
"What Jay and I have is real. It's not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It's real," she reveals.
If you recall the two wed in an intimate top secret ceremony at the rapper’s loft in Manahttan. Why such a low-key affair for such a high-maintenance diva? Beyoncé tells the mag she’s not a "traditional woman," and she didn’t want to make a big fuss.
"It's been my day so many days already," she told Essence.
The singer reportedly groaned, “You’re gonna get me in trouble” after discussing the wedding with the interviewer. But judging from that massive rock Jay-Z put on your finger B, you’ve got nothing to worry about!
When you are in the public eye, you have to deal with people wanting to know your business. Since the people are the ones who are paying your bills and putting money in your pockets. I think it's only fair to share your lives with us. If you want to be private, don't make the movies, sing the songs, design the clothes. Be real and true to your self means recognizing what makes you and I love Beyonce but I feel sometimes she forgets.
