Sneak Peak: New Spring Wedding Gowns with Flower Power

I fell in love with TV star Tia Mowry’s wedding gown the minute I saw the photos. Most brides opt for more traditional styles like the basic strapless, cap sleeves, or halter neckline, so I was pleasantly surprised to see her go for the one-strap option. The one-shoulder style can be unique, but in her case, I think it’s the use of floral design that really makes the dress pop! Don’t you? Keeping this in mind, I made my way through the many shows at Bridal Fashion Week over the weekend and found two similar options. Listen up all you spring brides, these two gowns really take flower power to the next level. On the left, you have a gorgeous strapless sweetheart gown with handmade organza/tulle flowers by designer Jennifer Salzman. The double-faced silk satin and silk taffeta mermaid gown is absolutely stunning and ideal for a spring garden wedding or any outdoor affair. Salzman, who has a passion for beadwork, began her fashion career as a sales and marketing assistant at Prada, and has also worked for Dolce and Gabbanna. This is her second year in the bridal business, so keep an eye on this one to watch ladies.
Next up, another favorite of mine from the new Ian Stuart line: Cabaret -- a silk dupion taffeta gown with a peek-out skirt ruffles, rosettes, and jewel detail. Check with designers for price and availability.

Spring is a time to indulge in all that is romantic and feminine. Cast off the more somber styles of winter, and lighten things up with a bridal gown that is breathtakingly beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
