Project Runway Goes Bridal Pt. 1: Fierce Sew-Off Last Night!

If you’re getting married, you should have been watching Project Runway on Bravo last night. On part one of Project Runway’s season finale, host Heidi Klum challenged the four remaining contestants to design bridesmaid dresses that complimented their newly created wedding gowns for the final challenge. As Leanne, Korto, Jerell and Kenley quickly noticed, designing bridal wear is no easy task!

Even though the four struggled to finish their looks on time, when it was time for the runway show, they all showed off some pretty fabulous pieces. I absolutely adore Leanne’s wave-inspired dress and Kenley’s flirty short gown (shown above)! I wouldn’t be surprised if those two start getting calls from newly engaged stars hoping to secure exclusive gowns for their bridal party.

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Jerell, the final male in the competition. The judges (Heidi Klum, Michael Kors, and Nina Garcia) didn’t love the loose bodice, overall draping, or colors. Check out the season finale next Wednesday at 9 p.m. to see Leanne, Korto and Kenley show at New York’s Fashion Week in Bryant Park! I hope you’re as excited as I am to see their final collections on the runway!
