Friend as Officiant? Mark Consuelos Marrys Howard Stern and Longtime Love

Markconsuelosheadshot Ever since Chandler and Monica asked pal Joey to officiate their wedding on F.R.I.E.N.D.S it seems more and more couples are turning to their friends to officiate the ceremony. If you are selecting a close pal to preside at your wedding, look to (I never thought I’d write this) Howard Stern for deciding on who to pick.

Radio host Stern married long time love Beth Ostrosky in New York City over the weekend and asked pal Mark Consuelos to officiate the ceremony. Since the couple was not interested in a traditional religious ceremony (no surprise there!), they turned to Beth’s spiritual advisor and talk show host Kelly Ripa’s husband, Mark, to wed the pair.

Stern isn’t the first star to call on a friend for help on their special day: Actor Victor Garber also stepped up to marry Alias co-star Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck in 2005. Other ordained celebrities include: Tori Spelling, who officiated a wedding at her B & B and comedian Kathy Griffin who recently married two die-hard fans in New York City for her reality show Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List.
