Are you an earthy bride looking for an eco-friendly location of your upcoming wedding or honeymoon? Sources have hinted that Scarlett Johannson and Ryan Reynolds said their "I do's" at the Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, an eco-safari retreat near the seaside village of Tofino, British Columbia.
The sprawling resort is an eclectic mix of large canvas tents, luxurious spa treatments and four-star dining. It offers brides and grooms small to medium size weddings with two to 50 guests. Couples can choose all-inclusive or a la carte services, including planning, marriage commissioner, photographer, flowers, music, entertainment, full-service food and beverage, luxury accommodations, wilderness adventures, air transportation and ground and water transfers.
For the interested brides, the 2008 Eco Package includes: Vancouver-Outpost return floatplane fare, horsedrawn wagon shuttle, outpost accommodations, all gourmet meals, snacks, alcohol, unguided activities (kayaking, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing), and guided activities (horseback riding, ocean and/or fresh water fishing, whale and bear watching, Wild Side First Nations Interpretive Trail, Hot Springs Cove daytrek, skeet, fly tying clinics, kayaking and canoeing, and mountain bike riding). The package also includes participation in any of the active stewardships of the resort's Conservancy Programs plus massage tent services. The resort offers packages in three, four or seven night stays and prices each by season. for the Resort start at a cool $4,750 CAD for three nights in the off-season and are as high as $11,000 CAD for a seven-night stay in the summer months.
