Olympic Swimmer Natalie Coughlin’s Wedding Venue

Carneros_3

After winning gold in China, Team U.S.A. Olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin has a wedding to plan. We already told you all about her super-cute engagement story, but now we’ve got some dish on her planning details too. Natalie will marry her fiancé, Ethan Hall (a former UC Santa Barbara swimmer), in April, on the lovely grounds at the Carneros Inn in California’s Napa Valley, and she tells Us Weekly magazine that her dog will be the ring bearer.

The lovely winery-inspired locale is located in the midst of the beautiful Carneros wine-growing region, just an hour outside of San Francisco. Listen up all you Northern California brides: This property boast lots of wedding-friendly accommodations: The gravel paths and intimate vineyards make the perfect natural backdrop for a rustic wedding, and are ideal for awesome outdoor photos. The private gardens are perfect for intimate ceremonies or for hosting a wine-tasting event during your rehearsal dinner. (The ballrooms and outside courtyards accommodate up to 175 people.) Plus, tell your MOH that she can hold your spa-themed bridal shower or bachelorette party at Carneros award-winning spa, where they offer decadent treatments designed around natural elements (with a focus on the use of local ingredients like goat butter, herbs, flowers, and minerals from Carneros terroir).

There’s even a wedding liaison on property to help you plan your big day (and the Bay Area weather stays mild year round, making your wedding date possibilities endless). Oh, and did we mention Travel + Leisure magazine voted Carneros "One of the Top 25 Romantic Getaways in the World"?  Fabulous choice, Natalie and Ethan!

The wedding was perfect and absolutely beautiful. I'm so happy for Natalie and Ethan. On a side note - I have no idea who Joe Trebino is (thank goodness he wasn't invited) - but I was thrilled that all of our close family could make it.
