James Gandolfini's Asian-inspired Wedding Reception

Chineseliondancer Soprano fans will be happy to hear that James Gandolfini (aka Tony Soprano from HBO’s hit series The Sopranos) wed his longtime girlfriend Deborah Lin in a lavish island ceremony in her hometown of Honolulu, Hawaii reports People. The bride took a trip down the aisle wearing a white Italian lace gown while a harpist played "Hawaiian Wedding Song". Gandolfini's son Michael, 8, (with his first wife Marcy Wudarsk) was the best man.  Every pew at Central Union Church was decorated with white lilies and rhododendrons.  Gandolfini, 46, and Lin, 40, recited vows in front of their closest friends and family.

As a tribute to the bride’s heritage, the couple added a chic Asian elements to some of their reception details. Guests dined on roasted duck breast over angel hair pasta and steamed bok choy and, later, fed dollar bills into the mouths of the Chinese lion dancers (at least three people per lion) as they danced around tables.  (FYI: Booking this cultural dance act is becoming a more and more popular wedding reception entertainment option. Visit the Chinese Lion Dance Association’s site for more details.)

"There was a nice big kiss at the end with both hands on the cheeks" a guest told People. "They looked great."
