Ellen DeGeneres Wedding Details Revealed

Ellen_portia_wedding_feeding_cake_2

Not every celebrity wedding has to be over-the-top, as Ellen DeGeneres proved Tuesday when she decided to share her personal wedding video with her studio audience. While the talk show host did rely on celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss and florist-to-the-stars Mark Held (of Mark's Garden) for all the big wedding details, it was nice to see the couple keep everything small and intimate.

Decorations included DIY lanterns (Ellen put them together herself), a long rose runner for the reception table, and a simple white tent and place cards. The most beautiful moment of the entire event had little to do with how everything looked and everything to do with the loving gaze the couple shared upon seeing each other for the first time.

Ellen and Portia said their vows sitting cross-legged from each other. The simple ceremony was followed by a live acoustic performance and the cutting of the cake (a beautiful two-tiered vegan red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting).  The couple followed up the event with intimate photos on the front lawn with their moms and dogs.

The wedding was so beautiful! The wedding cake looked fantastic and I loved her diy lanterns.
