Elvis and Priscilla Wedding Barbie Collector’s Set Revealed

Is you FH a hunka, hunka, burnin’ love? Maybe it’s time to tell him about your secret Barbie collection. I mean, after all, it’s Elvis Week in Memphis, Tennessee, and in honor of the city’s number one son, Mattel unveiled the first-ever Elvis and Priscilla Presley Wedding Barbie dolls. The dolls are wearing replica outfits of what Elvis Presley and Priscilla Beaulieu wore on their wedding day.
The King's black paisley print tuxedo, boutonniere, and black boots couldn’t look any more authentic. And true to history, Priscilla is wearing a white chiffon and satin gown with matching tiara and veil. Their 8-minute morning ceremony took place on May 1, 1967 in Milton Prell’s suite at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas. Only a small number of family and friends attended, but the wedding was followed by a press conference and breakfast reception for 100 guests where everyone shared a piece of the six-tier wedding cake. Elvis and Priscilla even reportedly danced to "Love Me Tender". The couple held a second reception at Graceland a month later for those who couldn’t make it to their sin city affair. They reportedly honeymooned in Palm Springs.
This Saturday marks the 31st anniversary of the legendary rock’n’roll star’s 1977 death. Yesterday, fans lined up outside a Graceland souvenir shop to be the first to see and own the new collector’s set. The one and only set autographed by Priscilla Presley herself was auctioned off there as well, where Brenda Moore, 59, won the right to add it to her private collection with stunningly high bid of $6,800. The auction was a fundraiser for Presley Place, an apartment building in Memphis for homeless families. Want a set of your own? The doll set retails at $65. Their marriage was short-lived, but just like their legacy I’m guessing these Graceland-approved dolls’ popularity will live on. (The set currently retails for $65. )

After all - you say "yes I do" on a wedding - this means you create a sacred bond for life.
