Heidi Gushes About Spencer's "Preproposal"

MTV reality star Heidi Montag and her ex-fiance Spencer Pratt grace the cover of this week's US Weekly (on stands tomorrow) with another newsworthy installment in their on-again-off-again courtship. They're pre-engaged! (If you're also not sure what that means, welcome to the club.)  According to Jezebel.com, in the new issue  Heidi gushes about Pratt's latest attempt to rekindle their romance."We were walking at sunset and he had a little picnic made for me, with chocolate-covered strawberries and Dom Perignon. It was pretty much a preproposal," says Montag.  She goes on to talk about her hopes for receiving an engagement ring that's more her style the second time around. "He is ready to really propose to me, down on one knee, with the right ring," says Montag. "The other one failed. Why would we use a failed ring? A new ring means a fresh start, a fresh love and a fresh engagement. Plus, I didn't get to pick it out. I want something much bigger, and one that comes from the heart, not some purple thing."

The First Lady's "Momzilla" Moment

The truth hurts – especially when you're approval rating is as low as the president's. In a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres, newly-married first daughter Jenna Bush admits that her mom, Laura Bush, took it a little too far when it came to planning Jenna's nuptials to new hubby, Henry Hager . "She liked the details more than I did!" Jenna protested. "She did start calling me Momzilla," the first lady reveals. "It really kind of hurt my feelings." Needless to say, the mother/daughter duo managed to kiss and make up before Jenna said her "I do's." "She's just really good with details about parties," Jenna admits. "I would not have thought of some of the details."

What's a wedding without man's best friend? Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson couldn't say their "I do's" without Wentz's dog  Hemmingway on hand, and other stars like Gwen Stefani, Rebecca Romijn, Tori Spelling and Adam Sandler have also followed suit. Scarlett Johannson's Six-Figure Engagement Ring

Nothing says "I love you" like an engagement ring worth more than some people's homes – at least that seems to be the mindset of actor Ryan Reynolds who, according to TMZ, reportedly plunked down $120,000 for girlfriend Scarlett Johannson's engagement ring. The Sonia Boyajian original was originally thought to be about 3 carats and worth $30,000, but spies for the website insist that the ring is much bigger and more sparkly than the couple is actually letting on.

Meanwhile Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz is still gushing about his weekend wedding to singer, Ashlee Simpson. "She was like a girl right out of a movie," says Wentz in People's exclusive cover story this week. The fairytale wedding, which boasted an Alice in Wonderland theme, was decorated with crystal chandeliers and over 10,000 black magic roses.

Mariah Carey Plans Bigger, Better Wedding -- Liza Minelli Style!

Is Mariah Carey planning to wed again? Earlier this month the pop star said "I do" to her new beau Nick Cannon in a rushed island ceremony in front of a few close friends. According to Showbiz Spy the singer is planning yet another ceremony and this time she'll channel Liza Minelli with an over-the-top extravagant affair. According to their source, "It's going to be held in New York City in the next six weeks."

Some brides would argue that her first wedding (despite the short guest list) was big and beautiful. Is a second wedding so soon a hit or miss for the pop singer? You tell us!

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren Wed

Late this afternoon Jessica Alba's rep confirmed that the 27-year-old Fantastic Four star wed her fiance, Cash Warren, 31, in a private ceremony on Monday. There are no further wedding details being released at this time. The couple announced their engagement last December and expecting a baby girl (the first child for both) this summer. Stay tuned for more details.

No Honeymoon for Pete and Ashlee

Don't expect to see newlyweds Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson to pop up on some tropical locale anytime soon. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on Tuesday, Wentz told the radio host that he and his new wife planned on lying low for awhile - in their basement. "We got some blow-up palm trees," Wentz joked. "A little fake-n-bake tanning booth. We're eating DiGiorno's pizza, getting in that tanning oven every once in while, it's great." The singer refused to discuss the b-word (as in baby), but did admit he and his new wife had signed a pre-nup, and that Simpson had legally changed her last name. "She legally is a Wentz ... I don't know what she'll do with her stage name, that's up to her. She hasn't decided that," he admitted. Check out the couples wedding invitation and guest favors here.
